Standards
The standards this work is carried out to
- External rendering is carried out in accordance with BS EN 13914-1 (design, preparation and application of external rendering).
- Proprietary systems (monocouche, silicone and acrylic thin-coat) are applied to the system specification, using the matching basecoats, mesh, beads and primers.
- Coloured render is ordered in one batch so the colour matches across the elevations. A later top-up can be a different batch, and that extra is priced separately.
- Render is applied within the weather window on the system sheet, out of frost, heavy rain and direct hot sun. One common sheet prints about 5 °C to 30 °C, and other sheets differ. Start and finish dates may move with the weather.
- Scaffolding, towers and other access are included only when they are listed on this quote. If they are not listed, they are arranged by others and are not in this price.
- Any workmanship guarantee is the one set out in our terms. If our terms are not attached to this quote, ask us for them in writing before you accept it.
- Movement beads are fitted at 3–4 m centres and at every change of substrate; corner, stop and bell beads are fitted at all arrises, reveals and drips.
- The substrate must be sound, clean and stable. Hidden defects uncovered after hack-off (loose brickwork, damp, failed DPC) are priced separately and agreed before we proceed.
- This quotation is indicative. Areas, heights and plinth millimetres are the figures typed on this quote. The picture is a look at the finish on your photo, not a measured survey, and we do not invent quantities from it.
- Check whether a conservation area, a listed building or an Article 4 direction applies. A change of colour or finish may need consent.
- Re-rendering more than half of an elevation, or more than a quarter of the building envelope, can trigger Part L of the Building Regulations. This quote is for the render finish, not an insulation upgrade, unless an EWI allowance is listed.
- VAT is charged at the standard rate of 20% unless this quote shows a different rate. A reduced or zero rate only applies to qualifying work with evidence (HMRC VAT Notice 708).

This quotation is valid until 29 November 2026 and is based on the details recorded above; work not listed is excluded unless agreed in writing. Prices in GBP. Item prices exclude VAT; VAT at 20% is added in the totals above. A deposit of £1,001.74 is payable to secure the booking; the balance is due on completion.
